Here is a cool thing I found in “The Definitive Guide To Free Software”.
These instructions are copied from “The Definitive Guide To Free Software”. All this info comes from them.
Here is how to do it…..
BEFORE YOU DO THIS BACKUP YOUR COMPUTER OR CREATE A RESTORE POINT !!!!!!!!!
DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. I will not be responsible for any damage to your computer.
1) Hold down the power button on the Windows 7 startup screen until it turns off. Then using the arrow keys select Launch startup repair . It will be the recommended option. Then you will want to click cancel when you are asked to restore your computer using System Restore.
2) You’ll see the message ‘Startup repair can’t repair your computer automatically’. Then click ‘View problem details’ and click the privacy statement link at the bottom. Notepad will open. Go to File, Open and double click on your system drive. Go to Windows/System32. Select ‘All files’ for the type, and then find and select ‘Cmd’. Press Ctrl+C, then Ctrl+V to create a copy.
3) Locate ‘sethc’ and rename it ‘sethc1’. Rename the copy of Cmd to ‘sethc’ and close Notepad. Restart your PC. At the login screen, tap Shift five times. Type net localgroup Administrators into the command window, and find an administrator name to use. Type net user <admin name> *(using the actual name). Enter a new password. Now you can login as that admin.
And that is how you can login into any windows 7 computer.
